Out of the 6 keys to persuading readers, I think that all are relevant to blogs. Bloggers have to be able to get readers to see things from their point of view and be consistent. The blogs are all about credibility. Readers have to be able to believe what they are reading and at the same time remain entertained. Every key factor mentioned is just as important as the next. The video explains the liking of your persuasion does equal up to more readers. People can only hold so much information so the shortcut would be to remember the 6 key factors of the information you know. For instance,  reciprocity is when you are obligated to give to receive. A  writer has to giver the readers some information that is apart of them in order to receive some type of feedback. When readers are interested, they want more!

Post #6: The Art of Influence Introduction

In the introduction of "The Art of Influence" the author made some really good points on why a personal essay is such a good idea. I really feel like the main point is because the writer is allowed to really voice their opinion to the full extent without techinally being criticized because people have the choice to read your work. The author really persuades me to believe that a personal essay is always better because it is like building a friendship with the reader. You are allowed to share whatever you want in your essay and it does not matter what you have to say. Some personal essays share the most intimate things. I really liked the statement the author made at the beginning saying, "The writer seems be speaking directly into your ear, confiding everything from gossip to wisdom. (1)" There is no limit in what a writer may say, whether it is facts or opinions. In order to get a reader's attention though it has to be interesting. The author believes once a writer is good, they will always be good at writing. I can agree with that statement a 100%. Most of the time when a writer is consistent they become better which leads them to attract more readers. This passage really influenced me to want to become an even better writing.
